About us
Our mission
At Rehoboth Ethiopian & Eritrean Church, our mission is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, grounded in the truth of God’s Word. We are committed to teaching, discipling, and equipping believers to live holy and Spirit-filled lives. Through prayer, service, and the power of the Holy Spirit, we seek to impact our community and the world, preparing ourselves and others for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1. We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God.
A) We are committed to the daily teaching, discipleship, and practical application of the Word of God in the lives of every member of our fellowship. We believe the Bible equips, edifies, and prepares the Church to be holy and blameless before God (Ephesians 5:27) as we live out and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.
B) We believe it is our mission to take the Word of God into every home, community, and nation, fulfilling the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:16–20).
2. We believe that salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone.
3. We believe that all who genuinely repent, believe in His name, and confess that Jesus is Lord are saved by grace through faith Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, is one with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He died for our sins, rose again on the third day, and offers eternal life to all who believe in Him.
4. We believe in the gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit.
5. We affirm that the Holy Spirit is active today, empowering believers with spiritual gifts for service, encouragement, healing, and the advancement of God’s kingdom on earth. Each gift is given for the edification of the body of Christ and the fulfillment of God's divine purpose.
6. We believe in the power and necessity of prayer.
Prayer is our direct communication with God through Jesus Christ (John 14:13–14). We believe that through prayer, lives are transformed, circumstances are changed, and God’s will is revealed and established both in the natural and spiritual realms—for His glory.
7. We believe in the imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We live in expectation and hope of Christ’s second coming. As a church, we are actively preparing ourselves and those around us for His glorious return, living lives that reflect His holiness, love, and truth.
